Dear Club members
Just a quick mention of a few things that happened during the Winter
Brook 1sts won the Division One indoor trophy again, but unfortunately never progressed to the last eight of the Kent Cup at Canterbury. Brook 2nds completed their first win in their second season of indoor league.
Jamie Miller was voted in Chairman at the AGM at The Honest Miller in February. Captains for Saturday and Sunday will be decided at the cricket dinner at The Honest Miller on May 5th where there will be a fish and chip supper followed by presentations and a quiz (time permitting).
Drainage works will start on the ground in the near future prior to the start of the season, enabling us to play at Brook on a more reqular basis. The nets will also be properly installed by Ian Parker, and we hope to see a few more people on the Thursday evening for practice and to generally help out.
Subscriptions have gone up but still remain very reasonable, especially when you think of what you get (i.e. a day out, a game and a meal!). Also, this year subscritions include a free personalised Brook Cricket Club cap to go with last years shirts.
Jonathon Thomas is in the process of updating the Brook Cricket Club website with fixtures and pictures etc. Thanks to him for that and for everybody else who contributes to making out club successful
